Douglas Drive were back out on the road again last Friday this time to Farnham House, Hertfordshire County Councils Offices in Stevenage.

We had a stall in the staff restaurant where we displayed craft and cards made by the
Friends of Douglas Drive Craft Group as well as our awareness boards and leaflets.

It was another great opportunity to chat with people about Douglas Drive and also raise funds for the centre.

Thank you to everyone who supported us… we really enjoyed the day.

So, what will we be up to next Friday?…

Douglas Drive … Out On The Road!…

050920141409Douglas Drive went out on the road today and attended the POhWER Hertfordshire
‘Shout About It’ event at Stevenage Leisure Centre.

It was great to chat with visitors about Douglas Drive and the work we do.

We also took the opportunity to share with other charities and organisations who were at the event, explore the services they offer, and see how we could maybe use these services at Douglas Drive in the future.

It was a great day and thank you to everyone who stopped by and chatted with us…
…we enjoyed meeting you all.

Douglas Drive Hit The Town… Gardens!

Stevenage Dog Show 2014 021

Douglas Drive had a stall at The Stevenage Dog Watch ‘Doggie Day’ held in the Town Gardens last Sunday.

Our initial aim was to raise awareness of Douglas Drive but we also took along
hand-made cards and craft made by The Friends of Douglas Drive craft group…

The day also wouldn’t have been complete without our popular cuddly toy stall… all the cuddly toys being dogs (see what we did there?!) and all were sold again in record time!

It was a beautiful sunny day and lovely to be able to chat with people and share about the work of Douglas Drive Day Centre and raise £116.50 for the centre at the same time!

Once again, thank you to all who gave their time to help on the day…. it really is very much appreciated.
