Do you have a few spare hours a week?
Ever thought of volunteering?
We would love to chat with you about the work we do at Douglas Drive
and how you could help us…

This week is Dementia Action Week and there has been plenty of action here at Douglas Drive.
The week started with the delivery of a beautiful homemade cake from a wonderful neighbour to mark Dementia Action Week… such a surprise!
A big thank you, it was delicious.
Forget-me-not flower pictures were decorated using pencils, oil pastels, collage and water colours making a fantastic display for this Dementia Action week.
Our local neighbourhood police officers joined us on Tuesday for a cup of tea and a chat. Updating us on current issues and scams and how we can protect ourselves.
Jordon from JML Fitness put us through our paces this morning.
And our week finished with a visit form Stevenage Mayor Councillor Nazmin Chowdhury and her consort Kier, who joined in with our exercise session and spent time chatting with clients, volunteers and staff about Douglas Drive.
Phew…. definitely an action packed week!

Douglas Drive have completed the Dementia Friendly Accreditation Scheme through Memory Support Hertfordshire, gaining their Gold Level Certificate!
The process encouraged us to take a look at what we do and our environment, making sure we continue to offer our clients, families and carers the best service possible.

We have volunteering opportunities available here at Douglas Drive.
Full sessions, mornings, afternoons, adhoc cover…. we can fit in with you.
