Douglas Drive would like to thank everyone for their support at our recent Autumn Bazaar.  It was a great day and raised an amazing £514.17p for the centre.

If you couldn’t join us then there is a second
chance to catch our craft stall and popular cuddly toy stall this Saturday at the Oval
Community Centre Christmas Fair.

Last week saw our Tuesday Group head off out for the day to Stevenage Leisure Park.

The group met at McDonald’s for a drink before moving across for a game of bowling at Hollywood Bowl and finishing the day with a meal at Frankie & Benny’s.

Craft Group members celebrating on Friday… Can’t have a birthday without cake!!

This week saw the Friends of Douglas Drive Craft Group celebrate their
1st birthday!

It’s been a busy year with the group holding stalls at Douglas Drive events as well as taking their craft out to places like Farnham House, Stevenage Doggie Day and The Oval Community Centres 40th Celebration Day.  The stalls were very well supported with all proceeds raised going straight to Douglas Drive to support the work of the centre.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support whether it be joining the groups craft sessions on Fridays, beavering away at home making items for us to sell, donating items for us to use or by buying our goods!… It’s all very much appreciated… Thank you.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended
our Macmillan Coffee Morning today.

It was fantastic to see the centre so busy… and what an atmosphere.

Your kind donations raised an amazing
£192 for Macmillan Cancer Support and the raffle raised £46 for Douglas Drive.

Once again thank you to everyone who joined us and to the volunteers and staff for all their hard work.

No road trips for us this Friday as we will be staying closer to home and holding our Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Why not pop along and join us at the centre between 10.30am and 2pm for a coffee (or tea!) and cake to help us raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
