We’ve been celebrating Chinese New Year this week at Douglas Drive.

Chinese influenced art work, food, music and activities including picking up sweets using chopsticks!…. great fun!

Sing Rock and rock duo ‘Beatroot’ are appearing live at the Coach and Horses on Thursday 19th December 2019.

Money raised on the night will be donated to Douglas Drive Day Centre… We’ll see you there!

Another fantastic display of entries for this years Christmas wreath decorating competition, from the Crafty Friends of Douglas Drive.

Thank you very much to our Chairman who came in to judge the entries today , a difficult task I’m sure you’ll agree.

The wreaths will be on display for the rest of this week and sold at our Christmas Craft, Coffee, Cake and Carols event this Saturday 30th November here at Douglas Drive Day Centre… We really look forward to seeing you.

Today we said goodbye to our wonderful cook Linda as she begins her retirement.
Linda has been looking after us all for 7 years and will be very much missed.
Happy retirement Linda.

We also welcomed Mike to Douglas Drive. Mike is a chef and will be taking over the oven gloves from Linda. We very much look forward to working with you and wish you all the best in your new post.

Douglas Drive will be holding their annual Macmillan coffee morning on
Friday 27th September 2019 10:30 – 12:30.
All proceeds from cake and refreshment sales for Macmillan Cancer Support.
We will also have a raffle, pot of gold and craft sales to raise funds for Douglas Drive Senior Citizens Association.
