A big thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan coffee morning last Friday.
We raised a fantastic £219.60 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Friends of Douglas Drive Craft Group would like to thank Make a Shake in Stevenage, for very kindly donating a few milkshake cups, for us to make our
‘Knitting Milkshakes’.
Now to think of a name… maybe the Woolley Mammoth?! 🙂

Douglas Drive will be raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support with a coffee morning on Friday 29th September 2017.

Lots of tea, coffee and cakes available between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

There will also be a raffle and craft stall raising funds for Douglas Drive SCA.

Earlier this month Douglas Drive held an event to celebrate the 70 years of Stevenage and the success of the service provided to our local elderly community by Douglas Drive, both past and present.

The events of the day were enjoyed by over 50 guests including Mayors both past and present.  The event was a great opportunity to network with other agencies as well as exchange memories of Douglas Drive.

At the beginning of March ‘Smile’ came into DD to run a ceramics painting session for our Tuesday and Wednesday groups.

The finished pieces were delivered today and they look fantastic!

Today saw the end of our St Patrick’s celebration week here at DD.

Fantastic musical entertainment enjoyed by clients, volunteers and staff alike and quizzes with an Irish theme.

(please note, no Guinness  was consumed during the celebrating of this event!!)
